It is very confusing to figure out what the year of debut is, if you google a band the resault that pops up in google is almost never the same answer as in spotle. I also just guessed Zara Larsson and her debut is listed as 2017, which is makes 0 sense when her first ep came out in 2013 and one of her most famous songs came out in 2015.

First of all I love all of your games! I also enjoy brackets a lot but the categories are sometimes not quite clear to me. For example these "best Spotle artist of may/April" - I never really now what I am supposed to vote for. Is it just a collection of artist that were featured in spotle? Am I voting for the artist and general or for the particular songs? Etc. So I personally think the categories for brackets could be more specific or better explained. Beside that thank you very much, your games are always part of my daily routine and bring a little joy :)
It would be good for a close marked answer on actors that are the support cast in a guessed movie but the lead role in the answer. This way you are close in guessing they are in the film but not in the role of the movie guessed. For instance today I guessed House Bunny that had Tom Hanks in the support cast, the answer was Forrest Gump where Hanks is the lead role. I could have gotten this as an idea if Hanks was marked as close in my House Bunny answer

On mobile (Android and iPhone) the game makes players use its own keyboard rather than the phone's keyboard. Then it places ads on top of the keyboard that can't be closed, so nothing can be typed in. On Android we were able to switch to desktop mode in browser, but found no solution on iPhone, so the game was unplayable on that phone. Using the phone's keyboard seems like it would avoid this, or not allowing ads to block the game.

I am so impressed with how quickly you responded and made the change to allow editing, I love you game! The only concern I have is that it is difficult to refer to other questions within the puzzle. That is for example: i was referring to question 2 across (in the list of questions) however it appeared as 6 across in the actual puzzle. When we first started playing the game regularly martin garrix was listed as he debuted in 2021. We managed to memorize it after some time although we knew it was completely wrong. In todays spotle the category was electronic male artists around 2010s and we had pretty great guesses and we purposefully did not guess martix garrix since we know he is listed as he debuted in 2021. After trying really hard to guess the artist we decided to give up. And we saw that Martin Garrix is not listed as he debuted in 2012. We are deeply upset and hugely disappointed in this. Hello! I wanted to contest today's game. The attributes of the artist states they were a female solo artist who debuted in 1965, however, Cher debuted as part of a duo in 1965 (Sonny & Cher) so I felt misled by the answer. The answer to 4/22/2026 on Spotle Movies was Ex Machina. The green clue/answer for the year was 2015. Ex Machina came out in 2014.

Hi, loving this game, its great fun, one small feedback from us though is that when it is time for a hint, you don't get chance to see the answers from the previous guess before the hint screen pops up, would be great if you could see that before deciding which hint you want. EG. today we selected filmography for the hint today, but our guess had been Alien, but we hadn't had chance to see that ridly scott was the correct director. Otherwise great game! :-D

seems to have a bug with the production studios, when playing I guessed "Home Alone" it gave me green feedback for "Hughes Entertainment" as the studio, but the correct answer "Edward Scissorhands" is 20th Century Fox (which is what I was shown when I got the answer). I assume its because Home Alone has 2 production companies listed on TMDB, being Hughes Entertainment & 20th Century Fox so im assuming since it did have 20th century fox in the list it shows green, but it still visibly showed Hughes Entertainment as the studio logo since its the first entry in the production list. Im assuming this is not intentional but if it is I think it should be changed as its confusing.

hi, been loving the game from france! we thought it might be cool if the movie’s info appeared even when we lose, such as for the spotle music. as of now, the display just stays on the last wrong guess. best of luck and keep up the good work :-)

I love this game! I do have to say that The Strokes being categorized as “rock” when they are one of the most influential INDIE bands of all time is insaaaaane. I have noticed other questionable genre choices. Would love to see the genres get re-evaluated.

I'm writing as a regular player of Spotle to share a small suggestion regarding the recent change to the way results are shared. First of all, I want to say that Spotle is a really fun daily puzzle, and it's become part of my routine to play it and compare results with friends. One of the things I personally loved most about the game was the previous sharing format. In my opinion, it made the game feel more social and competitive, since it was very easy to post and compare results with others. That simple format really encouraged conversations and friendly rivalry among players. Over the past few days I noticed the sharing format has changed, and to me it feels like it has lost some of that social impact that made the game especially engaging. I just wanted to share this feedback in case it's helpful. If possible, it would be great to see the previous sharing format return, or perhaps even have both formats available, so players can choose the one they prefer. Hi, the yellow proximity colour thing doesn't seem to work for the Members tile today. I guessed some bands with 3 members, which should make the tile yellow as Van Halen has 4 members, but it remained dark. It was confusing, I started looking up choirs and jazz bands lol

The new format for sharing your results is worse. My friends and I have a group chat where we share our results daily, and we all agree it was better before. My main critique is that I know many of my friends standard “first guess”. So I can see their first guess or let’s say Backstreet Boys was Green for male, green for USA, yellow for date, and green for genre, now I have a head start have a bunch of great hints already so I have an advantage. It also just takes up more space in the chat and looks more messy. People only care how many guesses you got it in, nothing more.

Would love a version of this where you can filter how you want to play by filtering out certain options. So for example, only certain year ranges, certain genres selected, etc. As an example, I don't really know music that has debuted after about 2010 and falls into certain genres like rap and country. And it would be great to filter into just music where I may actually have a chance of getting it. If the answer is someone I've never heard of, it makes it less interesting to play. Thanks!

I think that we should get a yellow if we are within 1 for the number of members in the band. if for example it was a 4 person band, I would like a yellow if I had guessed a 3 person or 5 person band.
